Goleman Records Six Saves as Eastern Shuts out Men’s Soccer

ST. DAVIDS, Pa. (Sept. 19, 2015)- Senior Jesse Goleman (Pittsburgh, Pa. / Taylor Allderdice) made six saves as the Centenary College men's soccer team was shutout by the Eagles of Eastern University, 3-0. Josh Cirocco assisted on two of the Eagles three goals, as they remain undefeated at 6-0-1 overall. Junior Luis Marin (Union City, N.J. / Union Hill) took a team high two shots, as the Cyclones fall to 2-4 overall.

In the first half, the Eagles limited Centenary's opportunities at the net, but senior Makenson Joseph (Haute-Feuille, Merchant Dessalines / Irvington High School) attempted a header which was stopped by Eastern net minder Quentin Keibler. Eastern would net two unanswered goals to hold a 2-0 lead at intermission.

In the second half, an insurance goal by Eastern in the 58th minute sealed the game and prevented any comeback by the Cyclones.
Senior Sean Robinson (Mount Olive, N.J. / Mount Olive) and sophomore Chris Flores (Roxbury, N.J. / Roxbury) both recorded a shot for Centenary in the latter 45.

Head Coach Keith O'Connor and the Cyclones will return to action on Wednesday, Sept. 23rd, hosting the Devils of FDU-Florham in their home opener at 4:00 p.m.
