Jesse Goleman (Pittsburgh, Pa. / Taylor Allderdice) made six saves as the Centenary College men's soccer team was shutout by the Eagles of Eastern University, 3-0. Josh Cirocco assisted on two of the Eagles three goals, as they remain undefeated at 6-0-1 overall. Junior
Luis Marin (Union City, N.J. / Union Hill) took a team high two shots, as the Cyclones fall to 2-4 overall.
In the first half, the Eagles limited Centenary's opportunities at the net, but senior
Makenson Joseph (Haute-Feuille, Merchant Dessalines / Irvington High School) attempted a header which was stopped by Eastern net minder Quentin Keibler. Eastern would net two unanswered goals to hold a 2-0 lead at intermission.
In the second half, an insurance goal by Eastern in the 58
th minute sealed the game and prevented any comeback by the Cyclones.
Senior
Sean Robinson (Mount Olive, N.J. / Mount Olive) and sophomore
Chris Flores (Roxbury, N.J. / Roxbury) both recorded a shot for Centenary in the latter 45.
