Kaitlin Marold (Edison, N.J./Edison) made six saves as the Centenary College women's soccer team dropped a non-conference match to the Ospreys of Stockton University, 2-0.
Mairead McKeary and Alexa Chiaro both scored for the Ospreys who improve to 6-1 overall, while senior
Lorraine Dedrick (Trumbull, Conn./Trumbull) took a team-high two shots for the Cyclones who fall to 1-5 overall.
Marold made third saves in the first half, as she bookended her denials around the Ospreys first goal. Centenary attempted to even the game late in the half, as Dedrick pulled her shot wide right and sophomore
Jessica Benoit (Hazlet, N.J. / Raritan) was turned away by Stockton net minder Nicole Pallante.
In the second half, Pallante opened the half by making a save on a shot by freshman
Amanda Benoit (Hazlet, N.J. / Raritan). Stockton responded with six unanswered shots, before netting their second goal in the 69
th minute.
Abigayle Musto took a team-high four shots, while three other Cavaliers took at least three shots.
