Radnor, PA – The Centenary women's lacrosse team were defeated by Cabrini College in this afternoon's Colonial States Athletic Conference game by a final score of 17-1. With the loss, the Cyclones fall to 1-7 overall and 1-6 in the league, while the Cavaliers improve to 9-5 on the season and a perfect 7-0 in the CSAC.
Cabrini controlled the offense the entire game as they outshot Centenary 36-8. The Cavaliers opened the scoring five minutes into the game and went on to add five more in a span of five minutes for a 6-0 lead. Cabrini would tack on another seven goals throughout the rest of the half to lead 13-0 at halftime.
After the break, the Cavaliers would continue with their momentum as they scored four more goals before Centenary's
Carlie Schmitt spoiled the shutout at the 3:46 mark.
Six different Cavaliers tallied two goals apiece, while five others scored one each.
Centenary goalie,
Hannah Fisher made 10 stops, while Cabrini's Megan Barlow made six saves.
The women's lacrosse team will return to the field April 15
th to face The College of St. Elizabeth in Morristown, NJ @ 4:00pm.
