Aston, PA – The Centenary men's lacrosse team ended their losing streak by defeating Neumann University 16-5 in this afternoon's Colonial States Athletic Conference game. With the win, the Cyclones improve to 2-9 overall and 1-3 in CSAC play, while the Knights fall to 0-11 and 0-4 in the league.
Centenary found themselves down 2-0 before going on a late run scoring four goals in a two minute span. Centenary's
Michael Balsamo and
Trevor Krupinski led the charge as each tallied a pair of goals to regain the lead 4-2.
The Cyclones continued their offensive momentum in the second quarter as they netted seven unanswered goals for the 11-2 advantage heading into the break. Six different Cyclones had their hand in the 7-0 run as
Michael Muff led the way with a pair of goals.
After the break, the Centenary offense continued to be relentless outscoring Neumann 5-3 to maintain the double-digit lead (16-5).
The Cyclones outshot the Knights 52-27 and picked up 58 groundballs over Neumann's 34. Centenary's Nolan Gotshall racked up 19 groundballs and won 18 of 25 faceoffs.

Kevin Switzer made seven saves in 45 minutes of play, while teammate
Grant Nice made three.
Centenary duo,
Michael Balsamo and
Trevor Krupinski each netted four goals and a combined seven assists, while
Michael Muff added three goals and one assist. Nolan
Gottshall and
Conor Martin also chipped a pair of goals each, while
Anthony Biango contributed one.
The Cyclones look to stay in the win column as they next host Immaculata University April 15
th beginning at 4:00pm. Prior to the start of the game, Centenary will honor their senior class.
