Hackettstown, NJ – The Centenary women's lacrosse team dropped a Colonial States Athletic Conference game to Rosemont College by a final score of 16-6.  With the loss, the Cyclones fall to 1-2 overall and 1-1 in league play, while the Ravens improve to 2-2 and 1-1 in the CSAC.

The Ravens opened the scoring 14 seconds into the game as Nicole Goodwin gave Rosemont the 1-0 lead.  The Cyclones answered two minutes later when Carlie Schmitt fired a shot into the net to even things up at 1-1. 

Trailing 3-1 midway through the first half, Abby Voelkner netted her first of four goals on the day to bring the Cyclones within one (3-2).
Rosemont went on a run beginning at the 12:13 mark scoring five consecutive goals to head into the break with an 8-2 advantage.

In the second half, Schmitt would tally her second goal of the day just 24 seconds into the half (8-3).  The Ravens quickly answered at the 26 minute mark scoring three goals in a span of three minutes (11-3). 

Abby Voelkner would score the next three goals for Centenary, but Rosemont did not let up as they tacked on another five goals to end the game.

Voelkner led the Cyclone offense netting four goals on the day with one assist, she currently leads the team with 10 goals on the season. 

In the goal, Centenary's Hannah Fisher made eight saves, while Rosemont's Nia Hall stopped seven shots for the Ravens. 

The women's lacrosse team next will visit The College of Notre Dame-Maryland March 28^th @ 1pm.
