th, 2015)- Despite having three starters score in double figures, the Centenary College men's basketball team dropped an Colonial States Athletic Conference contest to Gwynedd-Mercy, 77-69.
Julian Hyden finished with 16 points, 10 rebounds and two blocks for the Griffins who improve to 4-3 overall and 3-0 in the CSAC. Sophomore
Myles McLeod (Teaneck, N.J. / Teaneck) scored a game-high 22 points and grabbed nine rebounds for the Cyclones who fall to 5-2 overall and 2-1 in the CSAC.
In the first half, Centenary and Gwynedd-Mercy both shot well from the floor and behind the arc. The difference in the opening stanza was the free throw shooting, as the Griffins went 12-for-14 from the line, compared to the Cyclones who went 1-for-3 from the line. This allowed Gwynedd-Mercy to take a 45-35 lead at the intermission.
In the second half, Centenary attempted to claim their first lead of the afternoon, as McLeod scored six points in a row to cut the deficit to 53-48 with 10:30 remaining in the game. Gwynedd-Mercy answered the bell every time the Cyclones cut into their lead, and eventually they increased their advantage to as large as 15 with 3:16 remaining.

Anthony Bailey (Florida, N.Y. / SS Seward) finished with 14 points and nine rebounds, while sophomore
Rashaan Spencer (Hackettstown, N.J. / Mount Olive) added 10 points. Junior
Zachary Duymich (Millstone Township, N.J. / Allentown) recorded eight assists and four rebounds, while sophomore
Hamp Smith (Allentown, Pa. / William Allen) had five assists, four rebounds and two steals in 13 minutes off the bench.

th, as they will travel to Newark, N.J. to face the Scarlet Raiders of Rutgers-Newark at 8:00 p.m.
