th, 2015)- Powered by a 21-8 second half run, the Centenary College men's basketball team came away with the 87-75 victory over PSU-Abington. Sophomore
Myles McLeod (Teaneck, N.J. / Teaneck) finished with 22 points, including 18 in the second half, and 11 rebounds for the Cyclones who improve to 6-3 overall. Devin Jones scored 27 points for the Nittany Lions who remain winless at 0-7.
Sophomore
Rashaan Spencer (Hackettstown, N.J. / Mount Olive) scored 16 of his 19 points in the first half , as Centenary took a 37-27 lead with 4:47 remaining. The Nittany Lions answered by making four three-pointers in a row during a 18-6 run over the final 4:47 to give them a 45-43 halftime advantage.
In the second half, the Cyclones pulled away from the Nittany Lions by using a 21-8 run that gave them their largest lead of the game at 71-50 with 8:16 remaining. McLeod grabbed eight of his 11 rebounds and when 11-for-12 from the charity stripe in the second half. Senior
Deshawn Batts (Piscataway, N.J. / Pacific) also paced Centenary in the second half with 11 points.
Junior
Kyle Smith (Warwick, N.Y. / Burke Catholic) finished with 18 points, including making three from downtown, while fellow classmate
Paul Jones (Trenton, N.J. / Ewing) finished with seven rebounds and six points.
