Radnor, PA – The Centenary College women's basketball team was defeated by Cabrini College in tonight's Colonial States Athletic Conference game by a final score of 90-55. The Cyclones now stand at 3-13 overall and 2-5 in league play, while Cabrini improves to 13-3 and 7-0 in the CSAC.
The Cavaliers took control of the offense as they opened the scoring off a fast break layup and a three ball for a quick 5-0 lead. Centenary managed to keep the game close midway through the first half, but Cabrini would surge ahead with the help of a 9-0 run for their largest lead of the half 41-19.
After the break, it was more of the same while the Cavaliers continued to shoot over 50% from the field. The Cyclones were unable to stop the Cavalier offense as they continued to pull away throughout the second half.
Centenary's
Mallory George scored a team - high 13 points and seven rebounds, while
Rachel Edwards added nine points, five rebounds and three steals.
Melissa Rabe followed with eight points and four rebounds,
Taylor Pryslak added six points,
Amber Reisenwitz and
Kimberly Osieja each chipped in five points.
The Cyclones will stay on the road as they take on Keystone College Wednesday January 21
st.
