Langhorne, PA- On Monday night at the Madison Activity Center, Centenary College (2-3, 1-0 CSAC) notched their second straight victory, and first conference win, by defeating Cairn University (0-4, 0-1 CSAC) by the final score of 68-52.

Rashaan Spencer and
Andy Charles once again contributed to the Cyclones victory with Charles almost nabbing a double-double as he netted 14 points and nine rebounds. Spencer led the Cyclones with a game high 16 points (5-11) and four rebounds, while
Paul Jones also made it into double-figures as he dropped 11 points in the victory.

For Cairn it was Reuben Lacy and JD Zamroz who helped keep the game close. Lacy contributed with 13 points and seven rebounds while Zamroz helped out with 12 points in the contest.

This was a very closely played matchup as the team's entered the second half with the Cyclones holding a one-point lead (25-24).

The teams continued to keep it close as there was never more than a four-point difference between the teams until 12:01 in the second half. Centenary led 38-34, and after a big three ball from Spencer, the Cyclones were ignited into a 14-5 run over the next four minutes which saw Centenary jump out to a 52-39 lead.

Cairn tried to battle back into the game, however, the Cyclones wouldn't budge from their advantage.

Both squads finished with relatively close statistics. Centenary shot 36% from the field compared to 36.2% from Cairn. The teams nearly finished even on 3-pointers as Centenary clipped at 21.4% to an even 20% from Cairn. The Cyclones were able to take advantage on their free-throws where they nailed 78.4% (20-27) while Cairn only managed 51.7% (11-22).

Charles, Spencer, and
Zachary Duymich were solid from the line especially towards the end of the game when Cairn was beginning to press a comeback, as they made a combined 16-20 free-throws.

The Cyclones will look to extend their win streak to three in a row against Keystone College, in LaPlume, PA, on Dec. 3rd @ 7:00 P.M.
