Women's Soccer Improves Their CSAC Win Streak to Four

Hackettstown, NJ –  Senior Samantha Sysak collected her 13th goal of the season as the Centenary College women's soccer team edged Marywood University in a CSAC conference match by the final of 1-0 on Saturday afternoon.

Sysak used a fortunate bounce to capitalize on what would be the game-winner as she netted a shot in the 52nd minute for the lone goal of the match.

The totals were just about even for both squads (17-12 advantage for Marywood in shots, and a slim 4-3 for Centenary in corner kicks.

Keeper Megan Williams earned her fourth shutout of the season as she improved to 6-5-1 on the year, recording five saves.  Emily Osborne had eight saves in the loss for the Pacers (5-7-1).

The win gives Centenary an 8-7-1 overall mark and the #3 spot in CSAC standings with a 7-2 record in league play.  The Pacers drop to 5-10-1 overall and 5-3-1 in the CSAC.   

The Cyclones play host to Gwynedd Mercy on Tuesday October 28th @ 3:00PM in a conference battle.
