Hackettstown, NJ – In Colonial States Athletic Conference women's soccer action, Centenary College earned a 5-0 victory as they hosted Baptist Bible College this afternoon.
The Cyclones (7-7-1, 6-2) scored their first goal of the game in the 12
th minute as Senior forward
SamanthaSysak (Bayonne, NJ / Holy Family Academy) finished a rebound shot off the goalie.
Two minutes later,
Becky D'Angelo (Mechanicsburg, PA / Cumberland Valley) connected off the pass from
Jaclyn LaGuardia (Wyckoff, NJ / Ramapo) for a 2-0 lead.
With 7:28 left to play in the first half, Centenary increased the advantage to 3-0 on a long shot from outside the 18 by
Lorraine Dedrick (Trumbull, Conn. / Trumbull) off a feed from Sysak.
Early in the second half, Sysak tallied her second goal of the game off a pass from
Laura Potter (Gilboa, NY / Conesville) as Centenary went ahead 4-0. Potter capped off the scoring with her sixth goal of the season for the 5-0 victory.
Baptist Bible (3-11, 2-7) was held to zero shots as Centenary controlled the offense tallying 32 shots.
