Justin White (Minehill, NJ) notched a pair of goals this evening for Centenary College (9-4-1, 4-2 CSAC), in a 2-1 men's soccer victory over conference opponent Keystone College (8-5, 2-3).
After 45 minutes of play, the game would remain scoreless with Centenary holding a slim 8-6 advantage in shots.Â
In the second half, Keystone broke the stalemate in the 66
th minute with an unassisted goal to give the Giants a 1-0 lead. However, that lead would only last for a minute as a costly Keystone foul in the box awarded Centenary's leading scorer,
Quinn Khouri a penalty kick for the equalizer.Â
In the 84
th minute, White made it 2-1 when he beat a defender and fired a shot between the pipes into the upper corner. Despite being outshot by the Giants in the second half 13-7, the Cyclones managed to come away with the win as junior goalie,
Jesse Goleman (Pittsburgh, PA)Â tallied seven saves, while Anthony Cutillo ended the day with six stops.Â
