Langhorne, PA – The Centenary women's volleyball team was defeated in a conference road match against Cairn University in straight sets (8-25, 14-25 and 8-25). The loss drops the Cyclones to 0-26 overall and 0-6 in the CSAC, while the Highlanders improve to 10-14 and 5-2 in league play.
Centenary's
Andrea Martorana, who currently leads the team in kills, paced the offense with five kills and one service ace. Freshman
Brianne Allender chipped in two kills and
four digs.
Myriah Cockburn led the Cyclone defense with eight digs; she also tallied three kills and two service aces. Setter
Na'imah Spells also contributed to the Cyclones as she dished out 10 assists while recording one service ace and four digs.
Cairn's Whitney Seidel led the Highlander offense with a team-best 11 kills, while Brigid Shehan registered 10 kills to notch 1000 career kills.
Centenary will play host to Cedar Crest and Notre Dame of Maryland in a tri-match October 18
th beginning at 1:00PM.
