William Pauls

William Pauls, who was a key contributor at midfielder at Canisius, was named an assistant coach for the 2019 season by Centenary University men’s soccer head coach Josh Spivak.

Pauls played in 52 games throughout his career at Canisius and started every game during the 2017 and 2018 seasons. He was voted Canisius College men’s soccer player of the year. Pauls spent his freshman year at Radford University where he helped his team qualify for the NCAA Division I Tournament.

Pauls received his bachelor’s degree from Canisius in environmental studies in 2019.

Pauls was born and raised in Denville, New Jersey where he attended Morris Knolls High School. He was a 2014 Regional All American as well as the Morris County Player of the Year and First Team All- State.  Pauls played club soccer for the Parsippany Soccer Club where he was selected and participated for the Olympic Development Program. He has experience coaching the U-17 boys GPS (Global Premier Soccer) from Buffalo, NY.

Pauls is working on towards his USSF and NSCAA licenses.

He also enjoyed volunteering with Meals on Wheels and the Somali Bantu Refugee Program.
