HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. – The Centenary University Department of Athletics has announced four staff promotions ahead of the 2026-27 academic year. Kim Broking, Chris LaBelle, Kyle O'Brien, and Elizabeth Garabed will take on new and expanded roles within the department as Centenary Athletics continues its commitment to enhancing the student-athlete experience.
Broking has been promoted to Assistant Athletic Director and Senior Woman Administrator (SWA). Broking has been a familiar presence within Centenary Athletics through her role as the head coach of the Cyclones softball program. Her promotion expands her responsibilities beyond the softball program and into the overall administration of the department. As Senior Woman Administrator, Broking will also serve in an important leadership role while continuing to advocate for and support Centenary's student-athletes, coaches and staff.
LaBelle has been promoted to Assistant Athletic Director after previously serving in multiple roles within the department. In addition to serving as the head coach of the Centenary men's basketball program, LaBelle has served as the department's Sports Information Director, overseeing the promotion and coverage of Centenary's athletic programs. His experience in both coaching and athletic communications has allowed him to work closely with student-athletes, coaches and administrators throughout the department. In his expanded role, LaBelle will take on additional administrative responsibilities while continuing to lead the men's basketball program.
O'Brien has been promoted to Director of Transportation and Student Success after serving as an assistant coach with the Centenary men's basketball program. Through his work with the program, O'Brien has played a role in the day-to-day development and support of Cyclone student-athletes. His new position will expand that work department-wide, with responsibilities centered around coordinating transportation for Centenary's athletic programs and supporting initiatives focused on student-athlete success while also assisting on the sidelines.
Garabed has been promoted to Sports Information Director after serving as a Sports Information Graduate Assistant for Centenary Athletics. During her time as a graduate assistant, Garabed has been heavily involved in the department's athletic communications efforts, providing coverage across Centenary's programs through game recaps, statistics, social media, graphics and game-day operations. In her new role, She will oversee the day-to-day athletic communications operations for the department, including management of the Centenary Athletics website and social media platforms, statistical coverage, game-day communications, media relations and the promotion of Cyclone student-athletes and teams.
The promotions come as Centenary Athletics prepares for the 2026-27 academic year and continues to strengthen its administrative operations and commitment to providing a positive experience for its student-athletes. The expanded leadership roles will support the continued growth of the department both on and off the field.
