GWYNEDD VALLEY, Pa. – The Centenary University women's soccer team fell to Gwynedd Mercy University, 5-0, Wednesday evening in Atlantic East Conference action.
Gwynedd Mercy opened the scoring in the 14th minute and carried a 1-0 advantage into halftime. The Cyclones generated more offensive opportunities in the second half, recording seven of their nine shots after the break. However, the Griffins added four second-half goals to secure the victory.
Elizabeth Fogarty led Centenary with three shots, including two on goal, while Dara Frieder added two attempts. Ava Barry also recorded a shot on goal. Naveah O'Keefe played all 90 minutes in net, finishing with nine saves.
With the loss, Centenary moves to 0-9 overall and 0-2 in conference play.
