Centenary Wrestling Prepares for Regionals Showdown This Weekend

This weekend, the Centenary University Wrestling team is gearing up for one of the most exciting and intense moments of their season—the regional tournament. With the stakes higher than ever, the Cyclones are ready to put their best foot forward and take on the competition with grit, determination, and a desire to make their mark.

After an impressive season of preparation, Centenary's wrestlers are primed to face off against some of the toughest opponents from around the region. With strong leadership and a squad brimming with talent, the team is aiming to advance to the national stage and continue their journey toward greatness.

The 2025 NCAA Regional Championships will take place this Saturday and Sunday at Lycoming University. The following athletes will represent the Centenary Cyclones at this Regional Event.  Your Cyclones have had a stellar season wrestling some of the best teams in the country, they are battled tested, and ready to go.  "As a coach I do not look at W's and L's, as that is about me, this year I concentrated on getting the best competition possible, this is why we went to the 2025 NWCA National Duals.  Like my dad used to say, you got to wrestle the best to be the best, and our guys are ready.  The work is in, now we concentrate on mental well-being, feeling good, focusing on the process, and fine-tuning." Quoted by coach Garriques

Regionals are a critical opportunity for Centenary Wrestling to prove themselves on the big stage. For many of the Cyclones, this will be their final chance to make a run at a national title, while others see it as a stepping stone to even greater things in future seasons.

With so much on the line, the pressure will be immense, but Centenary's wrestlers are ready. They've worked hard, sacrificed, and set their sights on a goal: success at Regionals. If the Cyclones wrestle with the same intensity and heart that has defined their season, there's no telling how far they could go.

Stay tuned for more updates as the Cyclones prepare for battle this weekend!
