In a hard-fought game, the men's basketball team fell to Immaculata University with a final score of 81-69, struggling to maintain momentum throughout the contest.
In a night which started with honoring senior guard Shawn Falk, the game was a challenge, as the team faced an aggressive defense and offensive onslaught from their opponents. Despite a slow opening quarter, the team found themselves trailing by 10 points at halftime. Turnovers and missed shots plagued their performance, with the opposing team capitalizing on nearly every mistake.
Jasir Lane and Devin Strickland were the lone bright spot for the Cyclones as they both tallied 13 points, while Jasir added a double-double with 12 rebounds.Â
The loss drops the team's record to 10-14 for the season, leaving them with a lot to reflect on before their next matchup Tuesday night against Gwynedd Mercy University. Coach expressed frustration with the execution, noting that the team has the talent to compete at a high level but must improve in crucial areas. They look to bounce back on the final game of the 24-25 season.Â
