Baseball Drops Series To The Mighty Macs

Hackettstown, NJ: The Cyclones dropped both games to the Mighty Macs of Immaculata in their second conference series of the season. The Clones lost 10-4 and 8-2. They fall to 8-13 on the season and 1-4 in conference play. 


Game One

Starting on the mound was Sophomore pitcher, Louie Vassallo. Vassallo would only toss one inning as it would be a bullpen day for the Clones. Vassallo gave up three hits and three earned runs. Drew Oppenheim, Anthony DiGrande, Anthony Fraser, and Jackson Ponzo would finish out the seven-inning game. Together they allowed nine hits, seven runs (four earned), and two walks. The Cyclones would turn two double plays in the field. At the plate, the Clones would record eight hits, and four runs, with three being batted in. 
Game Two

Zach Gehman would get the start in game two. Gehman would go on to toss 5.1 innings, giving up five hits, four earned runs, and striking out eight. In relief, Adam Yarrison, Anthony Fraser, and Jake Keenan would allow six hits and four runs (two earned) over the final 3.2 innings. Despite only scoring two runs, the Clones recorded nine hits with one run being batted in.
