Softball Splits On Day Two As They Are Eliminated From AEC Tournament

Arlington, VA: After a split on day one of the AEC Tournament, the Cyclones moved on to the semi-final round. The Cyclones would take on Marywood as they sat just two wins away from moving on to the AEC championship.

On day two of the AEC Tournament, the Cyclones would split against Marywood as they won game one in dramatic fashion forcing a fourth game where they would fall to the Pacers.

Late Game Comeback

In an elimination game, the Cyclones would fall behind early and find themselves facing a four-run deficit going into the sixth inning. The Cyclones would bat around the order scoring seven runs on five hits as Jenna Glinko, Jayden Pennella and Chloe Wright would each drive-in multiple runs in the inning. Also, providing run support during the Cyclones rally would be Toni Cacopardo on a sac-fly.

In the Circle

The Cyclones would go through four arms on day two as Julia Campen, Sandra Consenzo, Kelly Ann Earrusso, and Chloe Wright would each jump in the circle. Picking up the win in game one, would be Kelly Ann Earrusso who tossed 2.2 innings, and allowed just two earned runs. Consenzo would get her first start of the season in game two of the double header, and Wright would make her second appearance of the season in relief of Consenzo.
