Hackettstown, NJ: Cyclones Sweep Rutgers Newark by scores of 13-5 in game one, and 7-6 in game 2. By sweeping the Scarlet Raiders, the Cyclones extend their win streak to three games.
Game One
The bats were hot for the Cyclones in game one as the team had a team batting average of .500 (16 for 32). Maggie Lenahan, Madison Passanante, Jayden Pennella, and Dara Murphy each had a multi-hit game leading the charge for the Clones.
Getting it done once again in the circle for the Clones would be Junior, Julia Campen, who tossed all five innings and racked up seven strikeouts.
Game Two
Passanante would keep it rolling in game two cranking two doubles for the Cyclones and supplied the team with run support by providing three runs batted in. Campen would step back in the circle, with runners on first and second in the top of the fifth inning allowing just two runs in her three innings of work. The Cyclones would capitalize on the seven errors committed by the Scarlet Raiders scoring five runs off errors.
