Game Recap: Softball |

Softball Drops Two In Home Opener

Hackettstown,NJ: The Cyclones drop two to Desales in home opener by a score of 12-4 and 15-4. The Cyclones fall to 2-6 on the season.

Game one

Leading the charge offensively for the Cyclones were Jayden Pennella and Chloe Wright who each provided the team with multiple hits in the game. Maggie Lenahan would also be a key contributor to the Cyclones driving in a pair of runs in game one.

Kelly Ann Earrusso would jump in the circle and toss a total of 6.1 innings in the first game.

The Cyclones held a one run lead going into the top of the sixth inning, but the Bulldogs would find their grove offensively and take a lead in the sixth inning.

Game two

Chloe Wright would keep it rolling for the Clones adding another multi-hit game under her belt. Also, leading the offense in game two would be Maggie Lenahan and Rhiannon Ginnetti who each added two hits for the Clones.

Julia Campen started on the bump and tossed five innings allowing just five runs to score.

The Cyclones will have a quick turn around as they play the Montclair State Redhawks on the road, Friday, March 17th.
