HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. –
Alissandra Auletta scored for the second straight game and
Emma Ferfecki made six saves in relief work as the Centenary University women's soccer team fell to Rowan University.
The Profs jumped out to a 5-0 lead at the half and secured an 11-1 victory.
Nina Carlson,
Lianna SanFelice and
Simone Pacetti each scored the first of their two goals on the day in the first half.
The Cyclones got on the board at 58:30 as
Blaise Vallorosi played a ball deep into the offensive end that Auletta was able to chase it down and slip it past the Rowan keeper and into the back of the net.
That was all the Cyclones could get as Rowan secured the 11-1 win.
Calista Burke started for Rowan and made two saves while
Anna D'Intino did not make a save while allowing the one goal in relief.
Chelsea Estacio started for the Cyclones and made eight saves before giving way to Ferfecki, who made the six stops.
Carlson, SanFelice and Pacetti each had two goals for Rowan.
Auletta's goal was her second of the season for the Cyclones while Vallorosi's assist was her second of the year.
Centenary is back in action on Wednesday, Sept. 14 when it travels to Stockton for a 5 p.m. game.
