Veras Tip-In at Buzzer Propels Clones Past Lehman

BRONX- N.Y- Men's Basketball traveled to the Bronx, NY on Wednesday afternoon, defeating Lehman college on a final second buzzer beater, 76-75. This is the Cyclones third straight victory and improves their overall record to 4-2 on the year. The Lightning fall to 6-3 overall. 

Final Seconds
After fifth-year Harrison Lucibello missed a fade away jump shot with less than five-seconds remaining, fellow upper classmen, graduate student Billy Veras got his hands on the rebound for a game winner as the buzzer sounded. 

Double Digit Scorers
On top of the game winning tip-in and scoring the teams final four points, Veras led the Clones with 20-points and nine rebounds. To go with Veras, Graduate student Tyler White scored 17-points and Lucibello added 14. 

Defensive Effort
Centenary turned Lehman over 14 times in the contest, recorded seven steals and held the Lightning to a 16.7% 3-point percentage in the second half. 

Painting Buckets
The Clones finished the day with 36-points in the paint. 

Returning Home
After four straight games on the road, men's basketball returns home on Saturday, December 10 when they host Five Towns the Sound at 3pm in Reeves Gym.
