CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. – Three players had hits but it was not enough as the Centenary University softball team fell to Cedar Crest College in the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) Tournament on Saturday afternoon.
The Falcons reached the Cyclone pitching staff for a pair of runs in the bottom of the first.
Delaney VanBuskirk had a sac fly for the Falcons in the inning.
Cedar Crest added three runs in the bottom of the second for a 5-0 advantage in the game.
The Cyclones had a pair of runners reach in the third as sophomore
Tessa Ferentinos had a base hit and fellow sophomore
Courtney Deloughery got on via a walk but neither runner was able to cross the plate.
Cedar Crest posted a single run in the bottom of the third and took a 6-0 lead.
Centenary again had two runners reach in the fourth as sophomore

Madison Ketch had back-to-back singles. However, the Cyclones were unable to plate a runner in the frame.
The Falcons tacked on two more runs in the sixth for the 8-0 victory.
Breanna Young earned the win for Cedar Crest as she gave up one hit in three innings of work. Junior
Jessica Hewitt took the loss for Centenary as she surrendered five runs on four hits in 1.1 innings of action.
Riley Tremblay led Cedar Crest with two hits, three RBIs and two runs scored.
Ferentinos, Hughes and Ketch all recorded singles for the Cyclones.
The loss concludes the 2019 season for the Cyclones. Centenary improved its wins total from a year ago by six and qualified for the postseason for the first time since 2015. The Cyclones have no seniors on their squad and will return all of their key contributors for 2020.
