BETHLEHEM, Pa. (Sept. 6, 2017)- Sophomore
Matt Miller (Clifton, N.J. / Clifton) scored the lone goal as the Centenary University men's soccer team dropped a non-conference contest to the Greyhounds of Moravian College, 3-1 on Wednesday afternoon.
Ethan Blakely, Alec Aloia and William Demmel each scored a goal for the Greyhounds who improve to 3-0 overall. Junior
Devon Warne (Belvidere, N.J. / Belvidere) made four saves for the Cyclones who fall to 0-3 overall.
Centenary played from behind for most of the afternoon as the Greyhounds netted two goals in the opening 27 minutes. Moravian used the momentum to propel them into halftime with a 2-0 lead, while only allowing three Cyclone shots.
In the second stanza, the Cyclones cut the Greyhounds advantage in half as Miller notched his first goal of the season, off a free kick from junior
Sebastian Hernandez (Dover, N.J. / Dover), in the 51
st minute. Hernandez played the free kick opportunity into the box and Miller used his 6-1 frame to head the ball in for the score.
The Clones attempted to capitalize on their momentum and even the contest at 2-2, but shots by junior
Josh Weiss (Hackettstown, N.J. / Hackettstown) and Hernandez were stopped by Greyhounds netminder Bryan Yaskowski. Moravian would eventually add an insurance goal in the 69
th minute for the 3-1 lead.

Richy Castro (Landing, N.J. / Roxbury) each attempted two shots apiece, while Miller and senior
Daniel Lamanna (Roxbury, N.J. / Roxbury) each tallied one. Connor Phillips totaled a game-high five shots, while Yaskowski made three saves and recorded the victory.
