ROSEMONT, Pa. (Sept. 20, 2017)- Senior
Amanda Benoit (Hazlet, N.J. / Raritan) netted two goals as the Centenary University women's soccer team remained undefeated in Colonial States Athletic Conference play with a 4-1 victory over Rosemont College on Wednesday evening.

Emily Pizzuto (Whitehouse Station, N.J. / Hunterdon Central) finished with three points on one goal and one assist as the Cyclones improve to 4-1 overall and 2-0 in the CSAC. Maciana Mazzeo scored the lone goal for the Ravens who fall to 2-5 overall and 0-2 in the CSAC.
Benoit did all her damage in the opening stanza with goals at the 25
th and 36
th minutes, respectively. The Clones outshot the Ravens in the first half, 12-3, and held the 2-0 advantage at intermission.
In the second half, Rosemont cut Centenary's lead in half with a Mazzeo goal in the 52
nd minute. The Cyclones still held a 2-1 lead. Pizzuto, who assisted on Benoit's first goal, found the back of the net herself in the 69
th minute during a corner kick situation. Centenary increased their lead to 3-1.
The final goal of the evening proved to be the most satisfying as redshirt sophomore
Sam Bombardiere (Toms River, N.J. / Toms River East) scored her first collegiate goal as a Cyclone.
Senior
Kaitlin Marold (Edison, N.J. / Edison) made four saves and notched the victory, while Teagan Dawson made six saves in the loss for Rosemont.
Head Coach
Kevin Davies and the Cyclones will return to action in Gwynedd Valley, Pa. on Saturday, Sept. 23rd, against the Griffins of Gwynedd-Mercy University at 12:00 p.m.
