Priscilla Ortiz (Denville, N.J. / Morris Knolls) totaled four points on four goals, including eight groundballs and six caused turnovers as the Centenary University women's lacrosse team dropped its 2017 season finale to Wilkes University, 15-8 on Thursday afternoon.

Wilkes took an early 2-0 lead on back-to-back goals by Held, before the Cyclones scored three unanswered goals to even the contest at 3-3 with 12:07 remaining. Freshman
Kassiday Scheuring (Hampton Bays, N.Y. / Hampton Bays), who assisted on Ortiz's game tying goal, gave Centenary their first and only lead of the contest with a score at the 4:12 mark.The Colonels regained the lead just before halftime as goals by Held and Reilly Meanor propelled Wilkes to a 5-4 advantage at intermission.
Wilkes stretched their lead to 7-4 early in the second half, before Voelkner netted her first goal of the afternoon at the 18:49 mark. The Colonels continued to revolve their offense around Held, Meanor and Krya Boccio as the trio combined for all 10 second half goals.Wilkes held a 10-5 lead, when Ortiz notched her fourth goal of the afternoon and Voelkner tallied her second to cut the Colonels lead to 10-7 with 10:50 remaining in the contest. Wilkes pushed their advantage back to 14-7, before Voelkner netted a late free position goal with 1:28 remaining.
