GWYNEDD VALLEY, Pa. (Apr. 30, 2016)- Three different Cyclones scored as the third seeded Centenary College men's lacrosse team lost to the second seeded Gwynedd-Mercy University, 17-3, in the semifinals of the Colonial States Athletic Conference tournament.
Dillon Cave totaled five points on three goals and two assists for the Griffins who improve to 10-4 overall and will advance to the CSAC championship on Sat. May. 7 against the top seeded Cavaliers of Cabrini College. Senior

Nolan Gottshall (Toms River, N.J. / Toms River East) and
Michael Balsamo (Jackson, N.J. / Jackson Memorial) each netted a goal for the Cyclones who finish the 2016 season with a 9-6 overall record.
After Gottshall scored the first goal of the afternoon with 12:40 remaining the first quarter, the Griffins responded with 12 unanswered over the first three quarters and a 12-1 advantage entering the fourth quarter.
In the fourth, Kurpinski netted a goal of an assist from sophomore
Kyle Purcell (Islip, N.Y. / Islip), while Balsamo netted the final goal of the afternoon.
CSAC Co-Player of the Year Tony McGraw went 14-for-15 on faceoffs, as Gwynedd-Mercy dominated Centenary 19-5 on faceoffs. CSAC Defensive Player of the Year
Kevin Switzer (Hillsdale, N.J. / Pascack Valley) made 16 saves in 60:00 minutes of work between the pipes.
Gottshall added four groundballs, while freshman
Jon Howell (Bear, Del. / Delaware Military Academy) finished with three groundballs and two caused turnovers. Sophomore
James Iwanicki (Gloucester, Mass. / Ipswich) joined Howell with three groundballs as well.
