Carlie Schmitt (Stewartstown, Pa. / Kennard-Dale) and junior
Abby Voelkner (Denville, N.J. / Morris Knolls) each scored a goal as the Centenary College women's lacrosse team fell to Cabrini College, 15-2.
Sasha Wozniak scored three goals for the Cavaliers who improve to 10-4 overall and 8-0 in the Colonial States Athletic Conference. Seniors
Devin Sutko (Cinnaminson, N.J. / Cinnaminson) and
Erica Tripp (Vernon, N.J. / Vernon) each added an assist for the Cyclones who fall to 5-9 overall and 4-4 in the CSAC.
Schmitt and Voelkner both scored their goals in the second half, after being held scoreless in the first. Wozniak completed her hat-trick in the first half as Cabrini maintained an 11-0 lead at halftime.
Schmitt added five groundballs and two caused turnovers, while Voelkner totaled six draw controls, five groundballs and three caused turnovers. Junior
Priscilla Ortiz (Denville, N.J. / Morris Knolls) finished with two groundballs, two caused turnovers and two draw controls, while freshman
Krysta Astengo (Clifton, N.J. / Clifton) totaled one groundball and one caused turnover.
