BROOKLYN, N.Y. (Mar. 23, 2016)- Junior
Nick Daniele (Colts Neck, N.J. / Red Bank Catholic) went 4-for-8 with a homerun, three runs scored and an RBI as the Centenary College baseball team swept the Bobcats of New York University at MCU Park in Brooklyn. The Cyclones improve to 7-6 overall, while the Bobcats fall to 4-12 overall.
Centenary 5, NYU 3 Daniele went 3-for-4 with a homerun and two runs scored, while sophomore
Kevin Sensale (Bartonsville, Pa. / Pocono Mountain East) went 1-for-4 with three RBI's as the Cyclones rallied from a 2-0 early deficit to take game one, 5-3.
Centenary did most of its damage in the seventh, when the Cyclones scored four runs on three hits to take a 4-2 lead. Senior
Nick Koffel (Perkiomenville, Pa. / Perkiomen Valley) got Centenary on the scoreboard for the first time with an RBI single to score freshman
Casey Brown (Easton, Pa. / Easton Area). After junior
Sal Smith (Toms River, N.J. / Toms River North) and Daniele were hit by a pitch to get on base, Sensale ripped a three RBI double that cleared the bases.
After NYU got a run back in the eighth, Daniele answered with a homer in the ninth and junior
Ryan St. John (Washingtonville, N.Y. / Burke Catholic) earned his first save of the season by shutting down the Bobcats in the bottom of the ninth.
Centenary 7, NYU 2Centenary never trailed in game two, as the Cyclones only allowed two hits and kept NYU scoreless for five innings.

Chris Ohlweiler (Verona, N.J. / Verona) both scored RBI's. The Cyclones build upon that early lead in the sixth with four runs on one hit and three errors. Sophomore
Sean Donovan (Howell, N.J. / Howell) smacked an RBI single, during the multiple errors by the Bobcats, to score freshman

John Stanziale (Middletown, N.J. / Mater Dei Prep) recorded his first victory of the season with two strikeouts and no earned runs in four innings pitched.
