Cyclones Host CSAC Showdown on Homecoming Weekend

Hackettstown, NJ - The Centenary men's and women's soccer team are set to take on CSAC foes in this weekend's Homecoming doubleheader at the J.E. Reeves Turf Field Saturday October 11th.

The Centenary women will take the field first as they host Keystone College beginning at noon.  The lady cyclones enter the game with an overall record of 4-7-1 and 3-2 in the CSAC, while Keystone stands at 3-6-2 overall and 1-2-2 in league play.

The last time these two teams met was October 9th, 2013 in La Plume, PA, where Centenary fell in a double overtime match by a score of 1-2.  Needless to say, the Cyclones are coming off two back to back conference losses and look to snap that streak while settling last year's match with a win tomorrow afternoon.

The Cyclone offense is led by senior Samantha Sysak with seven goals and 17 points this season, along with Laura Potter and Lorraine Dedrick who have netted three goals each this year.  Senior Goalie Megan Williams has made 48 saves and looks to notch her fourth shutout of the year.

The Centenary men (7-3-1, 2-1) will take the field for a 2:30pm match against Immaculata University (2-9-1, 0-4).

Last year's matchup proved to be a tight contest between these two teams as Centenary edged the Mighty Macs with a 1-0 victory on October 9th, 2013.  Luis Marin scored the lone goal of the match late in the second half to preserve the win.  The Cyclones look to keep their momentum going as they are coming off a 4-0 win over Baptist Bible, while Immaculata looks to snap their winless streak in conference play.

Centenary offense is led by Quinn Khouri who netted 10 goals this season upping his career total to 31 and moving up twp spots to take third place in the Centenary Record books.  Khouri also leads the team in points (25), while freshman teammate, Justin White comes in second with five goals and 10 points on the year.  Junior keeper, Jesse Goleman has collected 72 saves amassing a .867 save percentage and looks for his fifth shutout of the year.
