Centenary University

Pena represented the Cyclones at the 2021-22 NCAA National Championship Meet last week. 

The sophomore competed at 141-pounds  and won his preliminary round over Brock Henderson of Coe, a 13-9 decision.

Pena unfortunately fell in his next two matches but gave a pair of wrestlers ranked in the top six in the country all they could handle. He fell to the eventual national champion, Jordin James by an 8-4 decision. Pena then dropped a heartbreaking 6-5 decision to Joseph Rossetti of Williams.
