Blackmond averaged a double-double (16.5 ppg and 10.0 rpg) while leading the Cyclones to a third-place finish at the challenging Scranton Invitational to start the season. 

In the season opener against Scranton, Blackmond poured in 15 points and nine rebounds against the Royals. He also added a pair of steals in that contest. 

During Saturday's OT win over Misericordia, Blackmond had a double-double as he finished with 18 points and 11 rebounds. He added a block and two assists in the game.
