For the second straight year, the NCAA Mideast Regional Championship ended with Etiini Udott standing atop the podium as the regional champ at 197-pounds. On Saturday, Udott posted wins by decision and a fall to advance to Sunday's semifinals. On Sunday, he posted a pair of decisions, one of which came in a sudden-victory period.

Udott became the second wrestler in program history and first since Chris Burdge to be a National Qualifier all four years and to win back-to-back Regional Championships.
