Lilly opened the 2019 season in spectacular fashion as he led the Cyclones to a win in their season opener.

Lilly threw a complete game three-hit shutout as the Cyclones beat Lehman 1-0. The junior struck out one and got a nearly equal amount of ground outs and fly outs. Lilly limited the Lightning to one base runner or less in five of his seven innings of work.
