Safreed turned in a big performance in goal to earn his first win as the Cyclones beat Alvernia, 14-2. He made 15 saves while playing the first 50:10 in goal. Safreed shut Alvernia out in three of the four quarters in the game. He made seven saves in the third quarter of the contest. He boasts a 5.99 goals against averaged through the first two games of the season.
